زیرکن (Zircon)

زیرکن یکی از قدیمی‌ترین و ارزشمندترین کانی‌های گوهرین طبیعی است که به‌دلیل ضریب شکست بالا، پراکندگی نوری قابل‌توجه و آتش (Fire) چشمگیر، در نمونه‌های باکیفیت درخششی بسیار نزدیک به الماس ایجاد می‌کند. زیرکن با الماس یا Cubic Zirconia یکسان نیست و از نظر کانی‌شناسی، ساختار و خواص کاملاً متفاوت است

مهم‌ترین خاستگاه‌ها و معادن: سریلانکا، کامبوج، میانمار، تایلند، استرالیا و تانزانیا از منابع مهم زیرکن طبیعی هستند. Ratnapura در سریلانکا از خاستگاه‌های شناخته‌شده زیرکن‌های گوهرین به شمار می‌رود و کامبوج و تانزانیا نیز نمونه‌های رنگی و باکیفیتی تولید می‌کنند

ارزش‌گذاری جهانی: رنگ، شفافیت، پاکی، شدت آتش و درخشش، کیفیت تراش، وزن، ابعاد و کمیابی از مهم‌ترین عوامل تعیین‌کننده ارزش زیرکن هستند

کاربردها: زیرکن به‌دلیل درخشش و تنوع رنگی در انگشتر، آویز، گوشواره و جواهرات فاخر استفاده می‌شود و نمونه‌های کمیاب و باکیفیت آن مورد توجه مجموعه‌داران قرار دارند

Ratnapura in Sri Lanka is a well-known source of gem-quality Zircon, while Cambodia and Tanzania are also recognized for producing attractive and high-quality colored specimens

International Market Value: Color, transparency, clarity, strength of fire and brilliance, cutting quality, carat weight, dimensions, and rarity are among the key factors determining Zircon’s value

Applications: Due to its brilliance and range of colors, Zircon is used in rings, pendants, earrings, and fine jewelry. Rare and high-quality specimens are also highly appreciated by collectors
